The Commander of the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) Colonel (COL) (U) Haji Wardi Bin Haji Abdul Latip called on Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen at the Ministry of Defence this morning.
As part of his introductory visit from 16 to 18 May 2013, COL (U) Haji Wardi also called on Chief of Defence Force Major-General Ng Chee Meng and Chief of Air Force Brigadier-General Hoo Cher Mou earlier today. During the bilateral meetings, both sides reaffirmed the close professional cooperation between the two air forces, and reiterated their mutual commitment to continue to strengthen defence ties. As part of his programme, COL (U) Haji Wardi will visit Seletar Airport and the RSAF's Air Force Training Command later this afternoon as well as the RSAF's Participation Command tomorrow.
COL (U) Haji Wardi's visit underscores the strong and long-standing defence relationship between Singapore and Brunei. The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) and the RBAirF interact regularly through professional exchanges and the bilateral exercise, Exercise Air Guard. These interactions have strengthened the mutual understanding and friendship between the two air forces.
