Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Law and Ministry of Education, Ms Indranee Rajah reviewed the 14th Specialist Cadet Graduation Parade at Pasir Laba Camp this evening, where 1077 Specialist Cadets (SCT) graduated as specialists of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF).
Addressing the graduands at the parade, Ms Rajah spoke about the important and unchanging role that Specialists play in the SAF. "Even with state-of-the-art technology and equipment, superior fighting concepts and advanced networks, your role as Specialists remain unchanged. Our Specialists and Warrant Officers continue to form the backbone of the SAF, representing the highest military virtues of dedication and discipline," she said. Ms Rajah also urged graduands to remember the training they had received and to lead with dedication and conviction. "Lead with pride, excel in your field, overcome adversity with your fighting spirit and serve in this new role with honour and integrity," she added.
The parade marked the completion of the 22-week Specialist Cadet Course where the SCTs underwent rigorous and realistic training to develop leadership and combat skills. The course also deepened their understanding of the other vocations in the SAF. Present at the parade were the families and friends of the graduands and senior SAF officers.
