This award was introduced in 1994 to show appreciation for Operationally Ready National Servicemen (NSmen) from the Singapore Armed Forces who had made significant contributions to the defence of Singapore.
The 15 winners of this year’s SAF NSmen of the Year Award were selected by a committee chaired by the Chief of Defence Force. The award is presented annually to NSmen from the Army, Navy and Air Force. Award winners possess an exemplary attitude towards National Service, have attained high standards in their training and have contributed positively to their units. This year's winners are:
