Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen; Minister of State for Defence and Education Lawrence Wong and Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Defence and National Development Dr Mohamad Maliki Bin Osman, spoke on issues pertaining to Singapore's defence and security at the Committee of Supply Debate 2012.
Dr Ng spoke on Singapore's regional security environment, as well as MINDEF's defence expenditure and the 3rd Generation SAF. He also touched on National Service and bilateral defence relations with Singapore's neighbours, the major powers and key partners. Dr Ng also provided information on our regional security architecture, and rounded up his speech with the SAF's full spectrum of operations.
Mr Wong spoke on National Service policies, as well as the significance of the NS45 commemoration. In addition, Mr Wong also touched on learning and training in the SAF, as well as safety of our servicemen."
Dr Maliki spoke on Singapore's Total Defence efforts, as well as reiterating on its importance and relevance. Dr Osman also touched on MINDEF's efforts to strengthen commitment to defence."
