Fact Sheet: Make Your Own ''Home'' Video Contest

On Total Defence Day every year, Singaporeans are reminded that we cannot take security for granted and that everyone has a role to play in defending this place that we call home.
Home can mean many different things to different people. It can be the roof over our heads, the warmth of family and friends, the keeper of our dreams and memories, a future we want to build with the people we love, or just a place in our hearts and minds when we feel displaced and lost.
For Total Defence in 2011, tell us what home means to you by taking part in the Make Your Own "Home" Video Contest. Create your own video featuring the well-loved Singaporean classic, "Home". You could sing along to the minus-one audio track of "Home", do a "Glee-style" routine to the song, cut a home-made music video with your favourite pictures, or even create a new musical arrangement to go with the song. Log on to www.thisishome.sg for inspiration, downloadable tracks and other helpful tools!
The contest runs from 2 January 2011 to 31 March 2011. Submitted videos stand to win attractive prizes in the Most Popular or Most Creative Award, and in the weekly lucky draw. Prizes include Apple MacBooks, iPads, Canon Legria video cameras, Flip video cameras, gift vouchers and more!
