To commemorate Total Defence (TD) in 2010, five groups of Singaporeans have stepped forward to share with the nation what they are doing to protect what they hold dear. They hope to encourage fellow Singaporeans to also think about their commitment to themselves and to their country. They believe that TD is a personal commitment and regardless of one's age and achievements, all of us can do something to keep Singapore strong and secure.
These "People for TD" are featured on TD publicity materials island wide: posters at bus-stop shelters and NEL MRT stations, as well as ZoCards. Their pledges are also carried in the official campaign website www.iwill.sg. Members of the public are encouraged to log on and make their own pledges on the website.
