Minister for Defence Thanks NDP 2025’s Organisers, Participating Organisations and Sponsors

Minister for Defence Chan Chun Sing hosted a reception today to thank participating organisations, sponsors, and key appointment holders of the National Day Parade (NDP) 2025 Executive Committee. The NDP Appreciation Function was held at Surbana Jurong Campus. A total of 148 Principal Partners, 31 Gold Award recipients, 84 Major Partners and 316 Co-partners were awarded for their contributions and commitment towards this year’s NDP. Minister presented awards to the Gold Award recipients and Principal Partners, and Chief of Defence Force Vice Admiral Aaron Beng presented awards to the Major Partners and Co-partners during the Appreciation Function.

In his speech, when talking about the significance of NDP, Mr Chan said, “Every NDP honours our past and envisions our future. Again, it speaks to the kind of spirit that we have. We are people who treasure our diverse backgrounds, honour those who have come before us, build on the foundations that they have laid for us, and endeavour to do better for our generation, and endeavour, more importantly, to allow the next generation to do even better.”

This year’s NDP theme Majulah Singapura, which translates to Onward Singapore, highlights how far Singapore has come in the last 60 years, and how NDP serves to rally Singaporeans to continue onwards towards the next 60 years and beyond. He said, “We were prepared to present everyday ordinary Singaporeans coming together to do extraordinary things. Each and every one of us, by ourselves, would never have imagined that we can come together to put on a performance like this, a show of unity, a show of discipline.” Mr Chan also thanked the invaluable support and contributions from the NDP 2025 Executive Committee, organisations and participants, who came together to make NDP 2025 a success.

Mr Chan also announced that NDP 2026 will be held at the Singapore Sports Hub and invited audience members to contribute fresh ideas to make SG61 a special and meaningful experience for everyone.
