Reply to Media Queries on Recruitment of Ex-SAF Regulars for the Inter-agency Taskforce

At the request of the Inter-agency Taskforce for personnel with operational experience, the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) is recruiting former Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Regulars. Rather than holding an open recruitment, MINDEF reached out to this group of former Regulars to invite them to augment the Forward Assurance and Support Teams (FAST) deployed at the various foreign worker dormitories.

Shortlisted candidates will undergo necessary training with the Taskforce, including site visits, to familiarise them with their roles before being progressively deployed in the coming weeks. MINDEF takes the health and safety of our personnel seriously, and is working closely with the Taskforce to ensure that the appropriate precautionary measures for personnel involved in COVID-19 operations are implemented in accordance with the Ministry of Health's guidelines.
