Eligibility and Benefits of NS50 Recognition Package
The NS50 Recognition Package consists of $100 worth of NS50 vouchers, one year of complimentary SAFRA or HomeTeamNS membership for national servicemen who are serving or have served Operationally Ready National Service (ORNS), and a complimentary 5-year PAssion Card membership.

Distribution of NS50 Recognition Package
The details for the distribution of the NS50 Recognition Package are as follows:
NSFs
a. To offer greater convenience to eligible NSFs, their NS50 Recognition Packages will be mailed directly to their official address displayed on their NRICs from mid-May to June 2017. For NSFs who will be enlisting into National Service within the 2017 enlistment window, but have yet to enlist, their NS50 Recognition Package will be mailed to their official address after their enlistment date.
NSmen who are SAFRA or HomeTeamNS Members
a. To offer greater convenience for existing SAFRA or HomeTeamNS members (i.e. members as of 1 January 2017 or later), their NS50 Recognition Package will be mailed directly to their preferred local mailing address registered with SAFRA or HomeTeamNS, from mid-May to June 2017.
b. Existing members will have their remaining membership term automatically extended by one year, with the complimentary SAFRA or HomeTeamNS membership. A new SAFRA or HomeTeamNS-PAssion card will be issued with the extended membership. This excludes existing SAFRA DBS Credit/Debit cardholders and HomeTeamNS-PAssion-POSB Debit cardholders, who will be able to use their existing cards to enjoy their extended membership privileges.
NSmen who are not SAFRA or HomeTeamNS members
a. Non-member NSmen who are serving or have served ORNS will receive a notification letter from late-July to August 2017 at their official address displayed on their NRIC with information on the registration process for the NS50 Recognition Package. Upon receiving the letter, those from the SAF or Home Team may register for the Package through (i) dedicated online portals managed by SAFRA (ns50.safra.sg) and HomeTeamNS (ns50.hometeamns.sg); or (ii) mailing in the registration forms which are sent along with the notification letters.
b. The registration process can be completed in a few simple steps and ensures that eligible national servicemen confirm their preferred local mailing address and other pertinent details before the NS50 Recognition Package is mailed to them.
c. Once the registration process has been completed, they will receive the NS50 Recognition Package via mail within 4 to 8 weeks to the address provided at registration. Registration for the NS50 Recognition Package will remain open until 30 June 2018.
The notification letter and the NS50 Recognition Package for SAFRA members will be sent in a white envelope labelled “On Government Service”. The actual NS50 Recognition Package for non-SAFRA members and all Home Team national servicemen will be sent in a green SmartPac plastic folder. The white envelopes and green plastic folders will have the NS50 Logo printed on them. Both designs are illustrated in the figure below.
The notification letter and NS50 Recognition Package will not be mailed to overseas addresses as the benefits are non-transferrable and its usage is limited within Singapore. The NS50 Recognition Package is also non-transferrable and non-exchangeable for cash. However, servicemen can accompany their family members to use the NS50 vouchers at participating merchant outlets, by showing their proof of identity.
The NS50 vouchers can be used at all SAFRA and HomeTeamNS clubs to book facilities, register for activities, and sign up for an extended membership with the respective NS associations. The NS50 vouchers can also be used at over 6,000 participating merchant outlets island-wide to redeem a wide range of products and services. The NS50 vouchers are valid until 31 December 2018.

SAFRA members
a. Access to six clubs conveniently located at Jurong, Mount Faber, Punggol, Tampines, Toa Payoh, and Yishun.
b. Exclusive members’ rates at all SAFRA facilities, SAFRA-organised activities and interest groups.
c. Special privileges and discounts at over 3,000 partnering merchant outlets island-wide on a wide variety of products and services from SAFRA and DBS’s network of partners.
HomeTeamNS members
a. Access to five clubs conveniently located at Balestier, Bukit Batok, Chinatown, Sembawang, and Tampines.
b. Exclusive members’ rates at all HomeTeamNS facilities, HomeTeamNS-organised activities and sub club groups.
c. Special privileges and discounts at over 3,000 partnering merchant outlets island-wide on a wide variety of products and services leveraging HomeTeamNS, PAssion and POSB’s network of partners.
