The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) holds its service personnel to high standards of discipline and integrity, and expects them to abide by the law. Those who commit offences will be dealt with in accordance with the law.
Captain Kelvin Tan Chun Long has been convicted of an offence under Section 337(a) of the Penal Code i.e. causing hurt by an act which endangers life or the personal safety of others. He is currently suspended from duties. The Ministry of Defence and the SAF will be reviewing his case for the purpose of discharge proceedings.
