Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen will be in China from 17 to 22 October 2019. Dr Ng will be attending the 9th Beijing Xiangshan Forum, where he will speak at the plenary session titled "Interests of Small and Medium-Sized Countries and Common Security" on 22 October 2019. The annual Beijing Xiangshan Forum brings together high-level defence, military and foreign affairs leaders from around the world to discuss a range of security issues.
As part of his visit, Dr Ng will have bilateral engagements with Chinese leaders in Beijing, including State Councilor and Minister of National Defense General Wei Fenghe. Dr Ng will also attend the opening ceremony of the 7th Military World Games in Wuhan on 18 October 2019.
