In response to media queries on SAF's acquisition of precision mortar rounds, the following MINDEF statement was issued:

"The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) is intending to acquire 120mm guided mortar munitions. The acquisition process is in the preliminary stage, and the SAF is considering several options."
