Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong Visits SAF Personnel in Brunei

Prime Minister (PM) Lee Hsien Loong visited Singapore Armed Forces personnel in Temburong, Brunei.
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong visited Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) personnel in Temburong, Brunei yesterday afternoon. PM Lee was accompanied by Chief of Army Major-General David Neo and interacted with trainers from the Army.
The SAF's training in Brunei is planned to resume progressively to pre-COVID levels from August 2022 onwards.
Singapore and Brunei have a close and long-standing defence relationship. In addition to the valuable jungle training which the SAF conducts in Brunei, the SAF and the Royal Brunei Armed Forces interact through frequent bilateral exercises, professional exchanges, visits and cross attendance of courses. These exchanges have enhanced the professionalism and strengthened the ties between the two armed forces.

PM Lee was accompanied by Chief of Army Major-General David Neo during his visit.

Minister in the Prime Minister's Office, Second Minister for Education and Second Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Maliki Osman accompanied PM Lee on his visit. Dr Maliki engaged trainers from the Army.
