Promotion of Chief of Navy

Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen presenting the promotion certificate to Chief of Navy Rear Admiral Sean Wat.

Chief of Navy, Rear Admiral (RADM) (One-Star) Sean Wat will be promoted to RADM (Two-Star) on 1 January 2024. RADM Wat received his promotion certificate from Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen in a simple ceremony held at the Ministry of Defence earlier.

The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF)'s Service Chiefs have received Major-General or RADM (Two-Star) ranks soon after their appointments, in recognition of the responsibilities of the office.
