Singapore and Australia Commemorate 30 Years of SAF Training in the Shoalwater Bay Training Area in Queensland, Australia

Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen (top left) and Australian Minister for Defence Linda Reynolds (top right) meeting virtually this morning to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Singapore Armed Forces' (SAF) training in the Shoalwater Bay Training Area (SWBTA) in Queensland, Australia.

Dr Ng giving his remarks during the virtual meeting this morning. Permanent Secretary (Defence) Mr Chan Heng Kee (left) and Chief of Defence Force Lieutenant-General Melvyn Ong (right) also attended the meeting.
A commemorative plaque to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the SAF's training in the SWBTA has been installed at Camp Growl, which has housed the majority of SAF personnel who trained in the SWBTA.
