Minister for Defence to Visit China for the 13th Beijing Xiangshan Forum

Minister for Defence Chan Chun Sing will be visiting China from 15 to 17 September 2026 at the invitation of China Minister for National Defense Admiral (ADM) Dong Jun to attend the 13th Beijing Xiangshan Forum.

As part of his visit, Minister Chan will meet ADM Dong and other senior Chinese and People’s Liberation Army (PLA) leaders, and speak at the 13th Beijing Xiangshan Forum. The Beijing Xiangshan Forum, co-hosted by the China Association for Military Sciences and the China Institute for International Strategic Studies, brings together high-level defence, military and foreign affairs leaders from around the world to discuss regional and international security issues. The theme for this year’s forum is “Build Consensus on Stability, Advance Security Governance Together”.

Minister Chan’s visit underscores the longstanding, warm and friendly bilateral defence relationship between Singapore and China.
