Mr Leong Mun Wai: To ask the Minister for Defence whether he can provide further details concerning the death of a full-time National Serviceman at Pasir Laba Camp on 27 September 2024.

Minister for Defence, Dr Ng Eng Hen:

We refer the member to the statement released by MINDEF on 27 Sep 2024. As the Police investigation is ongoing, and to respect the privacy of the late serviceman’s family, it would not be appropriate for MINDEF and the SAF to divulge further details at this juncture.

MINDEF and the SAF extend our deepest condolences to the family. We are extending to them our assistance during this time of grief.
