





Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen was hosted by the Estonian Minister for Defence Kalle Laanet at the Estonian Ministry of Defence in Tallinn, Estonia this morning.
During the meeting, both Ministers affirmed their strong commitment to enhance bilateral defence cooperation between Singapore and Estonia. This was underscored by the signing of a new Memorandum to strengthen defence cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including exchanges in defence policy, personnel training, National Service, cybersecurity, Total Defence and citizen engagement. Both sides also discussed geopolitical and regional security developments.
Dr Ng's official visit reflects the warm and growing defence ties between Singapore and Estonia. As part of his programme, Dr Ng was briefed by experts from the Estonian Cyber Range-14 and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence. Dr Ng will also call on Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas the following day.
Dr Ng is in Tallinn, Estonia to attend and speak at the 15th Lennart Meri Conference.
