Minister for Defence in Germany to Speak at the 61st Munich Security Conference

Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen will be in Munich, Germany on 14 February 2025 (Singapore Time) to attend the 61st Munich Security Conference (MSC). This will be the 13th time that Dr Ng is attending the MSC.

While in Munich, Dr Ng will speak at the MSC Main Panel Discussion on the topic “Making Waves: Maritime Tensions in the Indo-Pacific”, and at the 16th Munich Young Leaders Roundtable. On the sidelines of MSC, Dr Ng will also attend and speak at the MSC side event hosted by Aspen Strategy Group and Amazon Web Services on the topic “Allied Artificial Intelligence – Strengthening the Technological Edge”, and at the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt Annual Leaders Luncheon on the topic “On the Horns of a Trilemma: Geopolitical Fragmentation, Technological Leadership and Energy Security”.

The MSC is an annual high-level security conference that brings together key foreign affairs and defence leaders from around the world. Conducted annually in Germany since 1963, the conference will be attended by heads of government, defence and foreign ministers, parliamentarians, military leaders and security experts.
