Reply to Media Query on Incorrect NS Payment Due to Technical Error

Due to a technical error, about 3,000 Operationally Ready National Servicemen (NSmen) and employers received a second incorrect payment for their NS pay on 12 Apr 2018. The error occurred during data migration to another server and was discovered when the requisite audit checks for such procedures were performed.
Affected servicemen and their employers have been informed but need not take any action. The Ministry of Defence will recover the incorrect payments from their banks.
