Following the RSAF50 aerial display at the Marina Barrage in the morning of 11 August 2018, the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) was informed that some false ceiling panels at the Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore (MBCCS) had come loose. MBCCS confirmed that no one was hurt.
As a precautionary measure, the RSAF adjusted the flight path for the subsequent aerial displays and there were no further issues reported since. The RSAF has previously conducted flying activities in the vicinity of the MBCCS on the occasions of the SG50 Jubilee Weekend and RISING50, and also held rehearsals for this year’s display, and there were no reported issues.
