A Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Full-time National Serviceman (NSF) tested positive for the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) on 10 February 2021. He has been identified by the Ministry of Health as Case 60145. The serviceman is currently warded at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID). The SAF has been in contact with him to render support and assistance.
The serviceman last visited his place of work at SAF premises located outside Paya Lebar Air Base (PLAB) on 9 February 2021. He had no contact with anyone outside his immediate work cohort. He reported sick that same day at the PLAB Medical Centre, where he was administered with a COVID-19 test.
As a precautionary measure, the SAF has carried out immediate and thorough disinfection of the premises the serviceman had been in. All close contacts at his place of work have been identified and quarantined. All servicemen have also been reminded to adhere strictly to cohorting measures and continue with safe management measures, which include maintaining safe distancing, observing strict personal health and hygiene regimes, and consulting a doctor immediately if they feel unwell.
