Death of Singapore Armed Forces Regular Serviceman

A Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) regular serviceman, Second Warrant Officer (2WO) Sim Poh Wah, 44, lost consciousness in Pasir Laba Camp on 10 Feb 2017 at 7.53am. Resuscitative efforts were administered immediately. 2WO Sim was evacuated to Pasir Laba Camp Medical Centre, and subsequently to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH) via an SAF ambulance. An SAF Medical Officer and medics continued to resuscitate him en route. The SAF ambulance arrived at NTFGH at 8.45am. 2WO Sim was pronounced dead at 9.00am.
The Ministry of Defence and the SAF extend their deepest condolences to the family of the late 2WO Sim. The SAF is assisting the family in their time of grief.
