Malaysian Defence Minister makes Introductory Visit to Singapore

Malaysian Minister of Defence, Dato' Seri Mohamad Hasan, called on Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen this morning. During their meeting, Dr Ng and Dato' Seri Mohamad Hasan affirmed their commitment to maintain and strengthen bilateral defence ties between Singapore and Malaysia, and both countries' cooperation on multilateral platforms such as the ASEAN Defence Ministers' Meeting (ADMM), the ADMM-Plus and the Five Power Defence Arrangements.
Dato' Seri Mohamad Hasan, who is in Singapore for an introductory visit, also inspected a Guard of Honour at the Ministry of Defence. As part of his visit, Dato' Seri Mohamad Hasan attended an official lunch hosted by Acting Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and Dr Ng.
Dato' Seri Mohamad Hasan's visit underscores the warm and long-standing defence ties between Singapore and Malaysia. The two countries' defence establishments interact regularly across a wide range of activities, including bilateral and multilateral exercises, visits, professional exchanges, and the cross-attendance of courses. These interactions have enhanced the mutual understanding and professional ties between the defence establishments of both countries.
