Mr Chan Chun Sing to make first visit to the United States as Minister for Defence

Minister for Defence Mr Chan Chun Sing will make his introductory visit to the United States (US) from 9 to 13 September 2025 (Singapore time).

During his visit to Washington D.C., Mr Chan will meet with senior US leaders, including members of the US Congress. While in the US, Mr Chan will also visit SAF personnel participating in Exercise Forging Sabre 2025 at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho, and the Lockheed Martin F-35 fighter aircraft production facility in Fort Worth, Texas.

Mr Chan’s visit underscores the excellent and longstanding bilateral defence relationship between Singapore and the US. Mr Chan will be accompanied by Chief of Air Force Major-General Kelvin Fan, and other Ministry of Defence officials.
