Senior Minister of State for Defence Heng Chee How to Visit Australia

Senior Minister of State for Defence Mr Heng Chee How will be visiting Australia from 9 to 13 November 2018.

Mr Heng will visit Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) troops participating in Exercise Trident 2018 at the Shoalwater Bay Training Area in Queensland. Under the Singapore-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership signed in 2015, the SAF and the Australian Defence Force are committed to developing Exercise Trident as the signature bilateral joint military exercise. As part of his visit, Mr Heng will also officiate at the commemorative events for the 20th and 25th anniversary of the Republic of Singapore Air Force's training in Oakey and Pearce respectively, and have bilateral engagements with various Australian officials.

Mr Heng's visit reflects the close and long-standing defence relationship between Singapore and Australia.
