Minister for Defence Visits Saudi Arabia for Inaugural World Defense Show 2022

Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen is in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from 7 to 9 March 2022 (Singapore time) for the inaugural World Defense Show (WDS) 2022.
On 7 March (Singapore time), Dr Ng visited the inaugural WDS and met participating companies from Singapore. Organised by Saudi Arabia's General Authority for Military Industries and supported by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Defense, the WDS is a future-focused defence event that showcases the latest technological developments from participants around the world, and Vision 2030 which aims to transform Saudi Arabia into a vibrant and thriving society.
Earlier today (Singapore time), Dr Ng met former Director-General of Saudi Arabia's General Intelligence Directorate and Chairman of King Faisal Foundation's Center for Research and Islamic Studies (KFCRIS) His Royal Highness Prince Turki Al Faisal Al Saud.
During their meeting, Dr Ng and His Royal Highness reaffirmed the friendly and warm bilateral relations between Singapore and Saudi Arabia. Both sides exchanged views on global and regional geopolitical developments. They reaffirmed the importance of multilateralism and the need for all countries to work together to address common security challenges.
Dr Ng also visited the Al-Faisal Museum for Arab-Islamic Art, which showcases heritage collections such as rare manuscripts and Arab-Islamic art owned and preserved by the KFCRIS.
