Minister for Defence Attends Thailand's Defense & Security 2023 Exhibition

Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen is on a two-day working visit to Thailand from 5 to 6 November 2023. Dr Ng is in Thailand to attend the Defense & Security 2023 Exhibition, and the opening ceremony of the exhibition was officiated by Thailand's Minister of Defence Sutin Klungsang.
Dr Ng also met Mr Sutin on the sidelines of the exhibition, and reaffirmed the close and long-standing defence relationship between both countries. During the meeting, Dr Ng expressed appreciation for Thailand's strong support for the Singapore Armed Forces' training in Thailand. The Ministers discussed ways to further enhance defence cooperation in areas of mutual interest, and to strengthen our regional security architecture through the ASEAN Defence Ministers' Meeting (ADMM)/ADMM-Plus.
Dr Ng's visit to Thailand underscores the close and long-standing defence relations between Singapore and Thailand. Both defence establishments interact regularly through high-level visits, professional exchanges and bilateral exercises. These mutually beneficial interactions have enhanced the professional ties between both countries.
