Defence Minister Meets Indonesian Presidential Chief Of Staff

Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen hosted Indonesian Presidential Chief of Staff General (GEN) (Rtd) Moeldoko to a luncheon earlier today. GEN (Rtd) Moeldoko is in Singapore to deliver an S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies Distinguished Public Lecture on Indonesia under President Joko Widodo’s Administration.

During the luncheon, Dr Ng and GEN (Rtd) Moeldoko reaffirmed the close and long-standing defence and broader bilateral relations between Singapore and Indonesia, and discussed regional developments.

Singapore and Indonesia share close and long-standing defence relations. Singapore and Indonesia also interact at multilateral fora such as the Shangri-La Dialogue, the ASEAN Defence Minister’s Meeting (ADMM) and the ADMM-Plus.
