Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen will be attending the 20th Manama Dialogue in Bahrain from 6 to 7 December 2024. He has been invited to speak at the plenary session titled “Political and Military Responses to Conflict”.

Organised by the International Institute for Strategic Studies, the Manama Dialogue is a key security forum for the Gulf region and serves as a platform for senior defence, security, and foreign affairs officials from around the world, and in particular the Middle East, to discuss regional security challenges. The theme of this year’s forum is “Middle East Leadership in Shaping Regional Prosperity and Security”. Singapore has been attending the Manama Dialogue since its inception in 2004.

Dr Ng’s visit underscores the warm bilateral and defence relations between Singapore and Bahrain.
