Minister for Defence to visit Indonesia for an Introductory Visit

Minister for Defence Mr Chan Chun Sing will make an introductory visit to Jakarta, Indonesia from 5 to 6 August 2025.

During his visit, Mr Chan will meet Indonesian Defence Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, as well as other members of the Indonesian leadership. Mr Chan will also deliver a lecture at the National Resilience Institute (LEMHANNAS), as well as visit a facility under Indonesia’s Free Nutritious Meals programme (also known as Makanan Bergizi Gratis).

Mr Chan’s visit underscores the strong and longstanding defence ties between Singapore and Indonesia. Mr Chan will be accompanied by Chief of Defence Force Vice Admiral Aaron Beng and other MINDEF officials.
