Mr Leong Mun Wai: To ask the Minister for Defence of the 20% of enlisted National Servicemen consisting of new citizens by registration and permanent residents (PRs), what is the current average number of new citizens and PRs enlisted respectively for full-time National Service.
Minister for Defence, Dr Ng Eng Hen:
In 2021, about 2,500 citizens by registration and 2,000 PRs enlisted for full-time National Service.
