Fact Sheet on PRe-Enlistees Exercise Programme for National Service (PREP4NS)

The Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and SAFRA will be launching a trial of the Pre-Enlistees Exercise Programme for National Service (PREP4NS) in November 2019 where eligible pre-enlistees will be offered a one-year complimentary SAFRA EnergyOne (E1) gym membership. PREP4NS aims to encourage Pre-Enlistees to use E1 gym facilities and improve their general fitness so that they will be better prepared for their Pre-Enlistee Individual Physical Proficiency Test (IPPT) and the subsequent physical demands of National Service. 

Eligibility and Registration

Pre-Enlistees must fulfil the following criteria to be eligible for the one-year complimentary SAFRA E1 gym membership:

1. Have registered for Full-time National Service, but yet to enlist; and

2. Are assessed to be medically fit for National Service.

Eligible Pre-Enlistees must register for the PREP4NS to receive the complimentary gym membership. More details on registration for PREP4NS will be provided on the SAFRA website from November 2019 onwards.

Benefits of PREP4NS Membership

The PREP4NS membership grants access to all six SAFRA E1 Gyms conveniently located across Singapore at Jurong, Mount Faber, Punggol, Tampines, Toa Payoh and Yishun during the following hours:

• Weekdays: 0630 to 1700hrs and 2230 to 0100hrs

• Weekends: 0630 to 1300 hrs and 2000 to 0100hrs

PREP4NS members will also get to enjoy the following facilities and programme at the SAFRA E1 gyms:

1. Full range of fitness equipment

2. Free group fitness classes

3. Swimming pools^[1]

4. Jacuzzi^[2] and steam rooms

5. Shower facilities, towels and lockers
