Singapore and India share strong and long-standing bilateral defence relations. These relations were reaffirmed on 1 June 2018 at the Istana with the exchange of the Navy Implementing Arrangement between Singapore and India in the presence of PM Lee Hsien Loong and PM Modi. In addition, both defence establishments interact regularly through defence policy dialogues, high-level visits, military exchanges, and defence and technology cooperation. Both countries have also agreed to have continuous naval engagements in their shared maritime space.
