Minister for Defence to Visit US for the 12th Aspen Security Forum

Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen will be in Washington, D.C., US, from 2 to 4 November 2021 (Singapore time). Dr Ng will be attending and speaking at the 12th Aspen Security Forum (ASF) on 4 November 2021 (Singapore time).
As part of his visit, Dr Ng will have bilateral engagements with current and former US officials including Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III, Senate Armed Services Committee members, former Secretary of Defense and Cohen Group Senior Counsellor James Mattis, former Secretary of Defense and John S. McCain Distinguished Fellow Mark Esper, and former Under Secretary of Defense for Policy and Center for a New American Security Chair Michèle Flournoy.
Established in 2010, the ASF is an annual security and foreign policy conference that brings together distinguished leaders and key players in the defence community. This year's ASF will be attended by US Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas and other US national security officials, members of the US Congress, policy experts and military leaders including the Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley.
