SAF MILITARY EXERCISES (ARMY)
The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) will conduct military exercises in Seletar, Marsiling, Jalan Bahar, Neo Tiew, Lim Chu Kang, Jalan Kwok Min, Tuas, Upper Jurong, Hong Kah, Ama Keng, Pasir Ris, Bedok Jetty, Kranji, Lentor, Simpang, Sembawang, and Mandai from Monday, 18 October to Monday, 25 October 2021.
Blanks and thunderflashes will be used.
The public is advised not to be alarmed and to keep clear of these areas.
SAF LIVE-FIRING EXERCISES (ARMY)
The SAF will conduct live-firing exercises in Pasir Laba (SAFTI) Live-Firing Area from Monday, 18 October to Monday, 25 October 2021.
Sea vessels and crafts sailing through the Western Johor Straits from Monday, 18 October to Monday, 25 October 2021 are to keep within the 75m Navigable Sea Lane and not to stray into the Live-Firing Boundary.
Live ammunition and flares will be used.
The public is advised not to be alarmed and to keep clear of these areas.
SAF ANNOUNCEMENT
The islands of Pulau Sudong, Pulau Senang, and Pulau Pawai are proclaimed manoeuvring and firing grounds. The public is advised to keep clear of these islands. The public is also advised to stay clear of the prohibited waters off Changi Naval Base and Tuas Naval Base.
NO TRESPASSING INTO SAF RESTRICTED AREAS
Trespassing into SAF restricted areas constitutes an offence and it is punishable by law with a fine of $1,000 or imprisonment for a term of 2 years or both.
FPDA50 Activities
A Temporary Restricted Area will be established over parts of Singapore on 18 October 2021 to ensure the safety of the public and aircraft that will be flying at low levels as part of the aerial activities for the Five Power Defence Arrangements (FPDA) 50th Anniversary.
The Temporary Restricted Area (as shown in Figure 1) will encompass areas around Marina South, and will extend from ground level to 10,000 feet above mean sea level. It will be in effect on 18 October 2021, from 1100hrs to 1815hrs. During this period, there will be increased flying activities over parts of Singapore. The public is advised not to be alarmed.
During the period of the restriction, the conduct of all aerial activities including kite-flying, hoisting of balloons and flying of unmanned aircraft such as drones into and within the Temporary Restricted Area, is strictly prohibited.
Stakeholders in the immediate vicinity of Marina South have also been informed of the activities, and are advised to stay clear of the area.
