Safety & Systems Review
DXOs in the Safety & Systems Review job family are critical in ensuring safety and optimising organisational systems within the SAF.
On Safety, DXOs establish safety policies and provide strategic oversight to strengthen the safety system. At the operational level, they implement safety policies and programmes, maintain safety standards, and conduct safety audits, inspections, and investigations. At the tactical level, they set unit-level policies and standards, conduct risk management, implement safety measures, and ensure the safe conduct of activities.
On Systems Review, DXOs apply systems thinking and analysis tools to comprehensively review and reframe MINDEF/SAF systems. They optimise organisational systems, structures, and processes, and strengthen public accountability and transparency
Training
DXOs in the Training job family are entrusted with the crucial task of raising, training, and sustaining units for operations within the SAF. They analyse the training and learning needs of the SAF, develop strategy, and systems to train units for operations, and create doctrine and authorised materials to govern training standards. They also design curriculum, training programmes, and content to progressively train and qualify individuals and units, allocate resources, conduct and support training and exercises to maintain operational readiness and training excellence, and evaluate and analyse training performance.
