Business Digitalisation
DXOs in the Business Digitalisation job family supports MINDEF/SAF's digitalisation efforts through formulating digital, data, and people strategies and plans, ensuring digital and data governance and compliance, and spearheading the co-solutioning and implementation of enterprise digital and data business capabilities and applications. Their collaborative efforts with domain owners are aimed at meeting the current and future business needs of the organisation.
Cyber and Digital
At the vanguard of safeguarding MINDEF/SAF's digital infrastructure, the Cyber and Digital job family stands as the shield against cyber threats. They monitor and detect intrusions, hunt for malicious activities, and respond swiftly to any breaches, all while collating cyber threat intelligence. Their expertise extends to conducting forensic investigations and analysing malware, working tirelessly to restore systems to their secure state. In the ever-evolving digital battlefield, they are the guardians of our digital domain, ensuring the resilience and security of our digital assets.

Defence Technology Management
DXOs in the Defence Technology Management job family support MINDEF/SAF's technological advancement. They are responsible for master-planning and managing research and technology requirements, developing technology policies, and optimising defence technology resources. They also oversee the local defence industry, land use, logistics, technology security, defence exports, and procurement. Additionally, they strategise and implement policies and plans for defence technology-related engagements with local and international partners. This job family consists of six areas of expertise, including Policy and Planning, International Collaboration, Research and Technology (R&T) Strategy and Management, Industry and Resource Strategy and Management, Technology Strategy and Management, and Organisational Transformation.
Information Technology
The Information Technology (IT) job family encompasses a range of roles that involve the management, development, and implementation of technological solutions to support MINDEF/SAF’s organisational needs and operations. DXOs in the IT job family play a crucial role in driving digitalisation and enabling communications and connectivity in MINDEF/SAF and with Whole-of-Government (WOG) agencies. They are also responsible for the operations, management, monitoring, and maintenance of the Operations Support IT (OSIT) and strategic Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4) networks and systems.
