Mr Zaqy Mohamad was appointed Senior Minister of State for Defence and Manpower in July 2020. He is concurrently the Deputy Leader of the House in the Parliament of Singapore. Mr Zaqy is also a Member of Parliament for Marsiling-Yew Tee GRC. Prior to this, Mr Zaqy served as Minister of State in the Ministry of National Development and Ministry of Manpower as well as the Deputy Government Whip. He was also formerly Chairman of the Government Parliamentary Committee for Communications and Information.
