Formidable-class frigate

Ship Visit

Get a chance to visit our Formidable-class frigate, one of the regions' most advanced warships.

These versatile stealth warships are deployed for a wide range of missions: whether it's taking part in Rim of the Pacific Exercise, one of the world's largest maritime exercises, or going toe-to-toe with pirates in the Gulf of Aden. And they do it all with their Flotilla's motto in mind: "Forward with Fortitude." Understand more about the role of the frigates in the Singapore Navy, and have a sneak peak into what our sailors do on board the ship!

See what our sailors see, do what our sailors do! Visitors will get a chance to visit areas of the ship such as the Bridge, Flight Deck, Machinery Control Room, Galley and Cabin.

Disclaimer: For safety reasons, visitors must be able to board the frigate independently or with minimal assistance. Visitors with mobility difficulties, infant-in-arms (including in baby carriers) or pregnant women will not be allowed to board the frigate due to steep staircases and narrow passageways on board the ship.

Visitors are also expected to pass through relatively tight spaces and climb a total of 5 flights of stairs, which are steeper and narrower than the stairs you may be used to. There are approximately 10 steps per flight, amounting to approximately 50 steps! (While you will not be climbing these stairs all at once, it is still quite a feat!)
