Chief of Navy RADM Sean Wat makes Introductory Visit to Germany

Our Chief of Navy Rear Admiral (RADM) Sean Wat was in Germany last week for an Introductory Visit. He was hosted by the German Chief of Navy Vice Admiral (VADM) Jan Christian Kaack where both navy chiefs discussed opportunities to strengthen the relationship between our navies.

As part of the programme, RADM Wat also visited the German Navy's Maritime Operations Centre in Glücksburg, Naval Academy in Mürwik, and Naval Damage Control Training Centre in Neustadt.

During his visit to the Naval Academy Mürwik, RADM Wat was briefed on the German Navy's use of Ship Handling simulators to provide realistic navigation training.

The Republic of Singapore Navy and the German Navy have established a strong bilateral relationship. Both navies interact regularly through leadership visits and dialogues, navy-to-navy exchanges, cross-attendance of professional courses, and have also collaborated in areas such as submarine training and operations.
