Earlier this week, the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) during the sidelines of the International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (IMDEX) Asia 2025.
MOU with Royal Australian Navy (RAN)
On 5 May 2025, the RSN and RAN signed a renewed MOU for mutual submarine rescue support and cooperation.

The MOU was signed by RSN Chief of Navy Rear Admiral (RADM) Sean Wat (right) and the RAN Chief of Navy Vice Admiral (VADM) Mark Hammond (left).
MOC with Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF)
On 7 May 2025, the RSN and JMSDF signed an MOC for the exchange of information for white shipping, further enhancing regional maritime security.

The MOC was signed by RSN Chief of Navy RADM Sean Wat (right) and the JMSDF Chief of Staff Admiral (ADM) Saito Akira (left).
