Former Royal Thai Air Force Chief Receives Prestigious Military Award

Former Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF), Air Chief Marshal (ACM) (Ret) Airbull Suttiwan was conferred Singapore's prestigious military award, the Pingat Jasa Gemilang (Tentera) or Meritorious Service Medal (Military) [MSM(M)], by President Halimah Yacob. Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen presented the award to ACM (Ret) Airbull at an investiture held at the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) this morning.

ACM (Ret) Airbull was conferred the award in recognition of his significant contributions in strengthening bilateral defence ties between the RTAF and the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) during his tenure as the RTAF Commander-in-Chief. Under ACM (Ret) Airbull's leadership, his strong support for the RSAF's engagements with the RTAF through the regular cross attendance of courses and professional exchanges have further deepened the trust and rapport between the airmen and women of both countries.

ACM (Ret) Airbull is in Singapore from 19 to 23 July 2023. As part of his visit, he called on Dr Ng, Chief of Defence Force Vice Admiral Aaron Beng, and Chief of Air Force Major-General Kelvin Khong, earlier today.
