1. This is a mobile application owned and operated by MINDEF on behalf of the Government of Singapore.

2. This Privacy Policy ("Privacy Policy") must be read in conjunction with the Terms of Use ("Terms") of the App.

3. Unless otherwise stated, all other capitalised terms contained in this Privacy Policy shall have the meaning given to it in the Terms. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform you of how we collect, use, disclose and process data and personal data relating to you (collectively, "Data"). By accessing, and using any part of our App, you consent to us to collect, use, disclose and process the information you provide, including your personal data in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.

4. In this Privacy Policy, "we", "us" or "our" refers collectively to the Government of Singapore and MINDEF.

Cookies

5. We may use "cookies ", where a small data file is sent to your browser to store and track information about you when you enter our websites. The cookie is used to track information such as the number of users and their frequency of use, profiles of users and their preferred sites. While this cookie can tell us when you enter our sites and which pages you visit, it cannot read data off your hard disk.

6. You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. The App may use third party code and libraries that use cookies to collect information and improve their services. If you choose to decline such cookies, this may prevent you from taking full advantage of the App.

Data

7. We may request for certain types of Data from you in connection with your access or use of the App. The type of Data that may be collected include, but are not limited to:

• Unique Universal Identifier,
• Masked NRIC,
• Employee Group,
• Personnel Area;
• Unit Code information
• Information from your device including but not limited to your IP Address, device name, operating system version, App configuration, location information, images that you may take while using the App and other forms of Data in connection with your use of the App. For the avoidance of doubt, images stored in your device will not be accessed by the App.

8. You represent and warrant that the Data you will be providing us or have provided us is complete, accurate, true and correct. Data requested and collected from you may be collected, used, disclosed and processed by us for any, some or all of the following purposes:

• To assist, process and facilitate your login and use of the App for open reporting for timely sharing of hazards, near misses and unsafe acts within SAF, submission of safety checklists for the conduct of activities; registration of risk for de-conflicting unit’s activities and resources and to provide safety information and awareness.
• to carry out your instructions or respond to any queries, feedback or complaints provided by (or purported to be provided by) you or on your behalf, or otherwise for the purposes of responding to or dealing with your interactions with us;
• to monitor and track your usage of the App, in order to assist us in understanding user behaviour, trends and preferences, and in improving the App. For the avoidance of doubt, we may also collect, use, disclose and process such Data to create reports and produce statistics regarding the above for record-keeping and reporting or publication purposes (whether internally or externally). Data used in such reports and statistics will be anonymised before publication;
• to enable us to contact you or communicate with you on any matters relating to your use of the App, including but not limited to the purposes set out above, via email, push notifications or such other forms of communication that we may introduce from time to time depending on the functionality of the App and your Device; and
• for any other purpose(s) that do not appear above where permissible under any written law, as may be notified by us to you from time to time.

(Collectively, the "Purposes").

9. If you provide us with Data:

• we may share and disclose necessary data with other Government agencies in connection with the Purposes and your use of the App, unless such sharing is prohibited by law.
• we will NOT share your data with non-Government entities, except where such entities (e.g. third party service providers) have been authorised by us to carry out specific Government services.
• for your convenience, we may also display to you data you had previously supplied us or other Government agencies. This will speed up the transaction and save you the trouble of repeating previous submissions. Should the data be out-of-date, please supply us with the latest data.

10. Your Data may be stored in servers, systems or devices owned, operated or managed by us or any server of third party service providers engaged by us. The data stored on any server of third party service providers will automatically be removed within a stipulated period of time.

11. To safeguard your personal data, all electronic storage and transmission of personal data is secured with appropriate security technologies.

12. This digital service may contain links to non-Government digital services whose data protection and privacy practices may differ from ours. We are not responsible for the content and privacy practices of these other websites and encourage you to consult the privacy notices of those sites.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

13. We reserve the right to change, modify or supplement the Privacy Policy at our discretion and at any time, by posting the changed, modified or supplemented Privacy Policy on or through the App or through such other means as we may deem appropriate. Your continued use of the App following the posting of any change, modification or supplement will constitute your acceptance of such change, modification or supplement. If you do not agree to any change, modification or supplement to the Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.

14. This policy is effective as of 6 April 2021.

Definition
