Minister for Defence in Malaysia to Speak on Regional Security Cooperation

Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen will be in Malaysia from 28 to 29 Mar 2022 to attend the 17th Defence Services Asia Exhibition and Conference (DSA) and 6th Putrajaya Forum. He will speak at the first plenary session of the Putrajaya Forum on the topic of "Broadening Security Cooperation in the Asia Pacific: Prospects and Possibilities". As part of his programme, he will meet Malaysian Senior Minister of Defence Dato' Seri Hishammuddin bin Tun Hussein, Brunei Minister for Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja MG(Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Md Yussof, and Philippine Secretary of National Defense Delfin Lorenzana.

Organised by the Malaysian Institute of Defence and Security, the Putrajaya Forum brings together Defence Ministers, officials and academics to discuss defence and security issues. It is held in conjunction with the DSA biennially.

This will be the fifth time that Dr Ng is attending the Putrajaya Forum. Dr Ng will be accompanied by Permanent Secretary (Defence) Mr Chan Heng Kee and other Ministry of Defence and Singapore Armed Forces officials.
