Actions
The new two-year term of ACCORD will take effect from 25 August 2022. See Figure 1 for the structure of ACCORD and its Co-Chairpersons for the 2022 – 2024 term. To continue emphasising the importance that MINDEF places on ACCORD, both Senior Minsters of State for Defence, Mr Heng Chee How and Mr Zaqy Mohamad will co-chair ACCORD (Main). The Co-Chairperson of ACCORD (Educational Institutions) sub-Council, Minister of State for Education and Manpower, Ms Gan Siow Huang, continues in the new term. Ms Trina Liang, Managing Director of Sidra Capital, will take over Ms Claire Chiang, Senior Vice President Banyan Tree Holding Ltd as Co-Chairperson of ACCORD (Family and Community) Council and Mr Lam Yi Young, Chief Executive Officer of Singapore Business Federation will take over Mr Tony Chew, Executive Chairman, Asia Resource Corporation as Co-Chairperson of ACCORD (Employer and Business) Council.
