Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen will be in Japan from 20 to 22 May 2018 for a working visit. While in Japan, Dr Ng will meet with Japanese Minister of Defense Itsunori Onodera and Secretary-General, National Security Secretariat Shotaro Yachi. Dr Ng will also visit the Patriot Advanced Capability-3 Interceptor Missile Battery and review a Guard of Honour at the Japan Ministry of Defense.

Dr Ng's visit reflects the warm and friendly bilateral defence relationship between Singapore and Japan. He last visited Japan in 2012 for his introductory visit, where he met with counterpart Minister of Defense Satoshi Morimoto.

Dr Ng will be accompanied by Deputy Secretary (Policy) Mr Keith Tan and other Ministry of Defence officials.
