Fact Sheet: Air-Land Tactical Control Centre (ALTaCC)

The ALTaCC is part of the Republic of Singapore Air Force's Participation Command. It plays a pivotal role in managing airspace use for all air participation missions and Ground-Based Air Defence (GBAD) in the area of operations (AO).

The ALTaCC also supports the land forces by providing timely, accurate and responsive air power to shape the land battle. The ALTaCC ensures a tighter sensor-to-shooter loop during the execution of integrated fires.

Key Benefits of ALTaCC

Air-Land Common Operating Picture. The ALTaCC creates a common air-land operating picture by tracking both air and land forces. This common operating picture is shared with the command headquarters (HQ) to improve shared situational awareness, hence allowing commanders to make faster and more effective decisions, and synergise operations to achieve desired results.

Real-Time Control of Air and GBAD Assets. Having visibility of all the aircraft in the AO, the ALTaCC is able to manage the airspace effectively and optimise the air dimension within the AO for land battles. In addition, the ALTaCC also coordinates aircraft movements with ground fires from artillery platforms and GBAD to prevent fratricide and deliver better air participation for land operations. With real-time control of fighter and GBAD assets, the ALTaCC allows for integrated air and land fires on targets.
