The Bruneian Deputy Minister of Defence, Dato Paduka Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat, called on Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean, at the Ministry of Defence this afternoon. Dato Paduka Haji Mustappa, who is in Singapore for an official visit from 26 to 28 Sep 2010, visited the Murai Urban Training Facility, Sungei Gedong Camp and the Information Fusion Centre earlier today.

The visit by Dato Paduka Haji Mustappa underscores the close defence ties between Singapore and Brunei. The Royal Brunei Armed Forces and the Singapore Armed Forces engage in a wide range of bilateral exercises and interactions, which have contributed significantly to enhancing the professionalism of the two armed forces and strengthening their long-standing relationship.
