Air Warfare Officer
Introduction

The AWO badge is worn by Air Warfare Officer (Air Battle Management), Air Warfare Officer (Air Defence Weapons), and Air Warfare Officer (Air Traffic Control).

The Coat-of-Arms at the top signifies the Republic of Singapore (RSAF), the nation that AWOs protect with honour and their lives. The Wings are symbolic of the RSAF and the application of air power in air warfare. The key feature of the badge is the design of the shield, which reflects the collective strength and team excellence in defending the integrity of our airspace and sovereignty. It is also a representation of AWO's competencies. These are symbolically represented by the radar scope which epitomises the ever vigilant and ready posture, and the arrow head that symbolises a missile with great potency, sharpness and decisiveness to defend our airspace. The shield signifies the air shield that we provide to safeguard our sovereignty.
